This year’s meeting will be held Sept. 26^th -28^th in Los Angeles, CA. The awarded technology from SurGenTec’s product line is the unique and innovative ALARA ™ access needle. The access needle will be offered in multiple variations including with and without a depth stop. When combined with their patented fully adjustable extension handle the user can maintain superior target needle manipulation while also reducing radiation exposure. The extension handle allows users to maintain maximum source-to-skin distance between their hands and the primary x-ray beam without sacrificing precision and control. A white paper study revealed a reduction in radiation exposure of 293 times less than standard needle manipulation and 15 times less than using a Kocher Clamp. The ALARA access needle is set for release in Mid-October.
